The world is demanding, with countless things grabbing your time and attention or weighing you down, making it hard to get ahead. We are often too close to our challenges to identify a way forward that aligns with our values.
My name is Chris White, and I have practiced therapy for over 15 years. I work primarily with motivated men who are experiencing stress, anxiety, or uncertainty about their place in today’s complex world. I help clients overcome the fears that are holding them back, improve their ability to manage high-stress situations, and find their path in a changing environment.
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and neuroscience-informed methods such as mindfulness and self-compassion training to support your goals. IFS fosters mental harmony and clarity for decision-making. CBT provides strategies to shift negative thinking and improve mood. Mindfulness offers quick resets before important moments, while self-compassion training builds resilience during setbacks.
My approach to the therapeutic process incorporates Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), which prioritizes a strong therapeutic rapport and clear, collaborative goals. Clients describe me as calm, curious, approachable, and informative.
Feeling stuck is difficult and frustrating, and starting therapy takes courage. My goal is to support you in resolving challenges while respecting your self-determination and dignity.
In addition to in-person sessions in Whatcom County, I offer virtual sessions in California and greater Washington State.
